OBSERVATIONS

The resemblance to a triangular base is strong, especially with an extension which might suggest an attached stanchion. What is lacking is other images from a different angle, which could ascertain its true form and shape. The 'stanchion' shape itself may just be an illusion, formed by a flat surface and a dark rock, while the triangular 'base' may also not be flat at all. There are several images available of this object, but none offer a different angle from which to view and appraise its true nature.

POTENTIAL FOR AN ARTIFICIAL OBJECT

Triangular shape of a mechanical character suggested.

COMMON EXPLANATION

Optical illusion, due to perspective, shadows and imagery limitations.
